Who we are
The Vine Church is a lively family Church with a Baptist history going back to 1877. We do not claim to be better than other churches, or to have all the answers. What unites us is a desire to serve God in this place.
We believe in God the Father who made the world and who loves and cares for us, in God the Son, Jesus Christ who rose again from the dead and is alive today. In God, the Holy Spirit, who inspires all Christians and enables them to do God's will in the world. In God's active involvement in the world today through His Church. Our work, together with other Christians, is to spread the good news of our faith and to encourage others to discover God's love and His purpose for their lives.
Andy le Roux leads the Church and is supported by two Elders Brian Harrison and Adrian Roderick. Also on the staff is Janet Harrison, office administrator. Olivia Shaw also works from our offices and is studying for a youthwork degree and is involved in youthwork at The Vine.
The Church roots go back to when a Baptist church was formed in Odiham. We met in a little chapel in Odiham until 1982 when the Old School was acquired. Since that time the building has undergone major refurbishments, the most recent in 2006. The majority of our activities are held here and the church office is located at the rear of the building.
